In March, we spent 10 days visiting Amy in Washington, DC, and staying at
The Society of the Cincinnati's Anderson House, where Paul is a member. 
We were apparently a little early for the Annual Cherry Blossom Festival!
Paul & Erik attended Stanford basketball games,
and the Cardinal reached the "Sweet 16" in the NCAA Tournament.
In April-May, we cruised from Tahiti to New York via the Panama Canal with our Australian friends Rob & Meg Thomas.  Amy joined us from Tahiti to Lima, Peru.

We were fortunate to get a rare glimspe of the elusive Loch Ness Monster
 
In August, Erik enrolled at the University of South Dakota's Law School  The California drought lowered the water level at Pine Mountain Lake; think rain! 
In October, Paul went to South Dakota for
The University of South Dakota's Dakota Days (homecoming)
and to visit Erik at USD Law School
